FRAME & LENS SELECTION
01 / YOUR SELECTION

Begin with the frame you love

Choose your Agstum frame and select the lenses that fit your needs. Explore everything from classic round and oval frames to square, rectangular, cat-eye and pilot-inspired silhouettes, in metal, titanium, acetate and mixed materials. Your frame choice guides the next steps.

PRESCRIPTION REVIEW
02 / THE DETAILS

Reviewing your prescription

For prescription orders, the supplied SPH, CYL, Axis, ADD (when applicable) and pupillary distance are checked for completeness and suitability. If anything needs clarification, we may contact you before proceeding.

LENS PREPARATION
03 / LENS OPTIONS

Choosing the right lens material

Lens index, design and finishing options are chosen according to your order. Options may include single vision, progressive or Free-Form progressive lenses, along with suitable coatings, tint or photochromic features.

EDGING & FITTING
04 / PRECISION WORK

Edged for your individual frame

The lenses are shaped to match the selected frame. Round, full-rim, semi-rimless and rimless constructions may require different finishing and mounting considerations. The aim is secure placement and correct lens positioning.

FINAL QUALITY CHECK
05 / FINISHING

Checking the finished eyewear

Before dispatch, completed prescription glasses are checked for lens specifications, alignment, frame condition, finish and assembly. Individual checks vary with the lens design and the selected frame.

PACKAGING & DISPATCH
06 / READY TO TRAVEL

Carefully packed for the journey

After inspection, your eyewear is protected for international delivery. When your order ships, tracking information is provided so you can follow its journey.

MATERIALS & OPTICAL DESIGN

Find your lens balance

Agstum Optical offers several refractive-index options. The ideal choice depends on your prescription, frame style and preferred balance of thickness, weight and optical properties.

1.56Everyday resin

A practical entry option for suitable prescriptions.

1.61MR-8

Balanced clarity, strength and a slimmer profile.

1.67MR-7

Thinner lenses for prescriptions that benefit from higher index.

1.74MR-174

Ultra-thin high-index material for suitable prescriptions.

Free-FormProgressive options

Advanced lens designs for eligible multifocal prescriptions.

Lens suitability and availability depend on prescription, frame, lens design and selected options. Higher index does not always mean the best choice for every wearer.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions before you order?

What information do I need for prescription lenses?

Provide your current eyeglass prescription, including the relevant powers and Axis/ADD where applicable, plus your pupillary distance (PD). If you're unsure how to enter your prescription, see our prescription guide.

Can I order just a frame?

Many AGSTUM frames are offered with clear demo or non-prescription lenses. Available choices vary by product; check the individual product page before placing your order.

Are high-index lenses always better?

Not necessarily. Lens index should be considered together with prescription strength, frame size and shape, optical design and individual preference.

Can vintage small round frames take prescription lenses?

Many can, subject to prescription and frame compatibility. Small, rimless or specialty designs may have additional limitations, so contact us with your prescription and selected frame if you need guidance.

Do ready-made reading glasses follow the same process?

No. Ready-made reading glasses, many sunglasses and other finished eyewear do not go through the same custom prescription lens-making steps. Preparation depends on the specific product and selected options.
